Open Data Day is a worldwide celebration that champions the importance of open data. Every year, local communities across the globe host events to share and use open data in their areas. This year, we're expanding the festivities, offering our community the flexibility to hold an Open Data Day event from March 2nd to March 8th, selecting whichever date best aligns with their regional customs and schedules, thereby embracing our planet's rich cultural tapestry.

Our Vision for Open Data Day 2024

Nature Trust is excited to participate in the global observance of Open Data Day on March 6, 2024. This pivotal event, steered by the Open Knowledge Foundation and its worldwide network of collaborators, aims to highlight and foster the use of open data.

Our 2024 celebration will be themed 'Open Data for a Transparent World'. The event's highlight includes a series of workshops designed to equip attendees with essential resources and insights. Our goal is to enable them to effectively apply open data principles to enhance transparency, ensure accountability, and spark innovation within government bodies and the broader civil society.
